Product quality

UAB “ICECO žuvis” produces high quality and safe products which satisfy consumer expectations. The Company has implemented quality, environmental protection and food safety management system based on principles set in the Codex Alimentarius and international standards. The system is monitored and continuously improved. All the necessary procedures for identifying potential biological, chemical or physical pollution sources, controlling identified risks and risk factors as well as ensuring high quality of processed products are developed and implemented.

Company’s production is made exclusively from high-quality raw materials received from strictly selected suppliers and comply with requirements set in EU directives and normative documents of the Republic of Lithuania. Continuous analysis of raw and auxiliary materials and physicochemical and microbiological analysis of the end product are performed in Lithuanian and German accredited laboratories. Company’s integrated quality, environmental protection and food safety management system is regularly audited by internal auditors and external auditing companies. Such consistent and continuous control ensures provision of only high quality products to the market.

UAB “ICECO žuvis” has implemented an integrated quality, environmental safety, food safety management system in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and IFS standard requirements.

All UAB “ICECO žuvis” employees follow quality, environmental safety and food safety management system procedures, prerequisite programs, prerequisite operational programs and accompanying documents and are familiar with significant environmental safety factors set in the company.

Staff trainings help to understand the principles of food and safety policy and to contribute to achieving company’s goals. Implemented and planned management system standards help to establish each employee’s responsibility for the quality of the product, economise resources, and protect the environment and its resources.
